Begin your journey in Melino
`n`n- Launch Paralives and start a new save file.
- Open the Paramaker from the main menu.
- Create your first Parafolk with any appearance and traits.
- Select or purchase an empty lot and move in.
- The achievement unlocks immediately upon entering Live Mode.
Home Sweet Home
Build and furnish your first home
`n`n- Enter Build Mode by pressing the Build button in Live Mode.
- Use the Wall Tool to draw at least one enclosed room (4 walls).
- Add a floor inside the room using the Floor Tool.
- Place a door connecting the room to outside.
- Add a bed (any size), a toilet, a fridge, and a light source.
- Exit Build Mode — the achievement triggers once all requirements are met.
Growing Up
Age up a Parafolk through all life stages
`n`n- Create or have a Baby Parafolk in your household (born or adopted).
- Set life stage duration to "Short" (0.5x speed) for faster progression if desired.
- Care for the Parafolist through all 8 stages: Baby → Toddler → Child → Pre-Teen → Teen → Young Adult → Adult → Elder.
- Each age-up event must occur naturally (or via birthday cake interaction).
- Once the Parafolk reaches Elder stage, the achievement unlocks.
Career Climber
Reach the top of any career track
`n`n- Choose a career path for your Parafolk — use computer, phone, or visit a workplace directly.
- Build relevant skills required for promotions (each career needs specific skill levels).
- Maintain positive emotions before work shifts (+30% performance bonus helps).
- Show up to work consistently on scheduled days — missing work delays promotion.
- Reach rank 10 (top position) — the achievement fires when you receive the final promotion notification.
Family Builder
Raise a household of 6+ Parafolk
`n`n- Start with 2 adult Parafolk (create a couple or use existing ones).
- Progress their romantic relationship to enable pregnancy/adoption options.
- Have or adopt children until you reach 4 kids (total 6 household members).
- Alternatively: marry NPCs and invite family members to move in.
- All 6+ members must be living on the same lot at the same time.
Melino Explorer
Visit every district in Melino
`n`n- Open the world map or direct your Parafolk to walk toward a new district.
- Visit Old Town — walk there or take the bus (most lots start near here).
- Visit Industrial District — head east from Old Town past the train tracks.
- Visit Mountain District — travel north into the elevated terrain area.
- Visit Countryside — go south/west to the open rural fields and forests.
- Each district has unique landmarks; entering the district boundary triggers the counter.
First Paycheck
Earn your first salary payment
`n`n- Use the computer or phone in your home to browse job listings.
- Apply for any entry-level position (Janitor, Cook, Retail Clerk, etc.).
- Wait for the hiring confirmation — some jobs respond instantly.
- Go to work on your scheduled shift (your Parafolk will auto-travel).
- Complete the shift and return home — the paycheck arrives automatically.
Lifelong Learner
Max out any skill to Level 10
`n`n- Choose a skill to focus on — Cooking, Guitar, Programming, Painting, etc.
- Ensure your Parafolk has the matching Talent trait (speeds up XP gain significantly).
- Practice the skill activity daily — practice guitar raises Guitar skill, cooking meals raises Cooking, etc.
- Keep your Parafolk in the Inspired emotion state (grants learning speed bonus to ALL skills).
- Continue until the skill reaches Level 10 — a notification confirms max level achieved.
Town Celebrity
Become known by every NPC in Melino
`n`n- Systematically visit every location in all 4 districts of Melino.
- Initiate conversations with every NPC you encounter — parks, shops, workplaces, streets.
- Use friendly social interactions (Compliment, Chat About Interests) to build relationships.
- Attend Town Events (Sunday Market, festivals) where many NPCs gather at once.
- Track your progress via the Relationships panel — aim for "Acquaintance" or higher with everyone.
Generation Keeper
Play through 3 generations of a family line
`n`n- Start Generation 1: Create a couple or single founder Parafolk.
- Have them produce offspring (birth or adoption) — these become Generation 2.
- Raise Gen 2 children to Young Adult stage (they can now have their own children).
- Gen 2 produces offspring — these are Generation 3.
- Raise at least one Gen 3 child to Young Adult or beyond. Achievement unlocks here.
Story Reader
Read 50 Story Cards
`n`n- Play normally through in-game days — each day ending generates 1 Story Card.
- Story Cards appear automatically at the end of each day in Live Mode.
- Click through and read each Story Card to count toward the total.
- Diverse activities generate more varied and interesting cards.
- After reading 50 cumulative Story Cards, the achievement unlocks.

Build a house worth over 200,000 Paradimes
`n`n- Start with a large lot — bigger lots allow more construction value.
- Build a multi-story house (at least 2 floors, ideally 3).
- Furnish every room with mid-to-high-tier furniture and appliances.
- Add premium elements: curved walls, custom paint jobs, landscaping, pools.
- Check the Lot Value panel in Build Mode — once it exceeds 200K, the achievement triggers.
Master Builder
Use every Build Mode tool at least once
`n`n- Enter Build Mode and systematically go through each tool category.
- Wall Tools: Place straight walls, curved walls, half-walls, fences.
- Floor/Ceiling: Apply flooring, change ceiling height, add split levels.
- Roofing: Place roof sections, adjust pitch, add dormers.
- Stairs/Elevation: Build staircases, ramps, platforms.
- Terrain: Raise ground, lower ground, smooth terrain, add hills/valleys.
- Furniture: Place, resize, rotate, recolor objects. Use measuring tape.
- Check the Build Mode tool checklist — it tracks which tools you've used.
Curved Wall Expert
Build a structure using only curved walls
`n`n- Enter Build Mode and select the Curved Wall tool from the wall palette.
- Draw a series of connected curved segments to form a closed shape (circle, oval, organic blob).
- Ensure the curve forms a complete enclosure — no gaps allowed.
- Add a floor inside the curved enclosure and place a door somewhere along the curve.
- Add at least one piece of furniture inside (bed, chair, anything).
- Exit Build Mode — the achievement validates that only curved walls were used.
Terrain Sculptor
Create a hill over 4 meters tall
`n`n- Enter Build Mode and select the Terrain Editing tools.
- Choose the "Raise Terrain" brush tool.
- Click and hold on a spot on your lot, repeatedly applying the raise effect.
- Watch the elevation indicator — continue until it reads 4m or higher above baseline.
- The elevation meter in the UI will confirm when you've reached 4m+.
- Achievement unlocks once the terrain height threshold is crossed.
Interior Designer
Fully decorate 5 rooms with unique themes
`n`n- Build or designate 5 separate enclosed rooms in your house.
- Room 1 — Bedroom theme: warm colors, bed, nightstand, wardrobe, lamp.
- Room 2 — Kitchen theme: clean whites/metallics, counters, fridge, stove, dining table.
- Room 3 — Living Room theme: cozy neutrals, sofa, TV, coffee table, bookshelf.
- Room 4 — Bathroom theme: cool blues/greens, tub/shower, sink, toilet, mirror.
- Room 5 — Any creative theme: home office, art studio, music room, nursery, gym, etc.
- Each room needs at least 5 themed items plus floor/wall treatment.
Pool Party
Build a swimming pool on your lot
`n`n- Enter Build Mode and find the Pool tool (under Outdoor/Recreation category).
- Draw a pool basin shape — rectangular, freeform, or curved edges supported.
- Adjust pool depth using the depth slider (shallow end to deep end).
- Add pool accessories: ladder, diving board, pool lights (optional but nice).
- Fill the pool with water — the fill option appears after shaping the basin.
- Parafolk should be able to interact with the pool (swim, dive) for it to count.
Skyscraper
Build a structure with 5 or more floors
`n`n- Plan a large footprint — tall buildings need wide bases for stability and usability.
- Build Floor 1 (ground floor) with walls, floor, and at least one room.
- Use the Floor Addition tool to add Floor 2 above Floor 1.
- Repeat for Floors 3, 4, and 5 — each floor needs at least 1 walled room.
- Add stairs or elevator connecting all floors (required for Parafolk access).
- Place at least 1 piece of furniture on each floor to validate it as "built."
Color Master
Use the color wheel on 50 different surfaces
`n`n- Enter Build Mode and select any object, wall, floor, or surface.
- Open the Color Wheel (usually right-click or via the paint bucket icon).
- Adjust any of the 4 zones (Base, Highlight, Shadow, Blush) to a custom color.
- Apply the color change — this counts as 1 colored surface.
- Repeat on 49 more different surfaces. Each surface must be a unique object/side.
- The color customization counter in Build Mode tracks your progress.
Green Thumb
Plant 20 different flora items on your lot
`n`n- Enter Build Mode and navigate to the Plants/Landscaping category.
- Browse the flora catalog — trees, shrubs, flowers, cacti, succulents, etc.
- Place 20 different plant types (variety matters — 20 of the same tree doesn't count).
- Spread them around your yard, garden beds, pots, or indoor planters.
- Unique species/types count separately. Same species in different sizes = 1 type.
Community Architect
Share a build on Steam Workshop
`n`n- Complete a build you're proud of — a house, community lot, or creative structure.
- In Build Mode, click the "Share" or "Upload to Workshop" button.
- Add a title, description, tags, and preview screenshot for your creation.
- Click Publish — the build uploads to your Steam Workshop profile.
- Confirm successful upload (you'll get a notification). Achievement unlocks.
Precision Builder
Use the measuring tape tool 25 times
`n`n- Enter Build Mode and find the Measuring Tape in the utility tools section.
- Click and drag between two points to measure distance (displays in meters/feet).
- Measure room dimensions, furniture sizes, wall lengths, object heights.
- Each measurement action increments the counter (25 total needed).
- Commonly overlooked tool — many players never use it, making this feel like a deliberate challenge.
