Section 1: Collectible Types Overview
Paralives features 5 major categories of collectibles with over 111 unique items to find across the town of Melino. Each category has different spawn mechanics, rarity tiers, and uses:
| Category | Total Items | Rarity Tiers | Primary Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Artefacts | 30+ | Common → Legendary | Sell or donate to Museum |
| Gemstones | 20+ | Common → Ultra-Rare | Sell for high value, craft jewelry |
| Mushrooms | 25+ | Common → Mythic | Cooking ingredients, sell, collect |
| Paintings | 20+ | Skill-based quality | Sell, decorate home, donate |
| Stamps | 16+ | Event/Market exclusive | Collection completion, trade |
The Big Question: Donate or Sell?
It depends on your goals! Donating to the Museum unlocks permanent perks and discounts. Selling gives immediate cash. Our recommendation: donate one of each unique item first to unlock Museum rewards, then sell duplicates for profit. This strategy maximizes both long-term benefits AND short-term income.
Section 2: Artefacts (30+ Items)
Artefacts are historical items found by digging at specific locations throughout Melino. They represent the town's rich fictional history.
Location Guide by District
🏛️ Old Town — Museum Dig Sites
The richest source of Artefacts. The Melino History Museum has 5 official dig sites on its grounds:
- Dig Site A (Garden): Common pottery shards, ancient coins ($15–$80 each). Spawns daily.
- Dig Site B (Courtyard): Uncommon jewelry fragments, ceremonial masks ($80–$250). Spawns every 2 days.
- Dig Site C (Basement Excavation): Rare statuettes, fossilized tools ($200–$600). Spawns every 3-4 days.
- Dig Site D (Hidden Chamber): Very Rare golden relics, crown fragments ($500–$1,500). Spawns weekly, requires Archaeology skill Lv3+.
- Dig Site E (Secret Tunnel): Legendary items only — Royal Scepter, Ancient Crown ($2,000–$5,000). Extremely rare spawn, requires Archaeology Lv6+.

- Old Well Site: Ceramic vessels, coins dropped by travelers ($35–$180)
Section 3: Gemstones (20+ Items)
Gemstones are found primarily through mining in mountain caves and occasionally as rare ground spawns. They have the highest individual sell values of any collectible category.
Mining Locations
| Location | Gem Types Found | Rarity | Value Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crystal Cavern (Surface) | Quartz, Amethyst, Citrine | Common | $20 – $120 |
| Crystal Cavern (Deep) | Topaz, Garnet, Peridot | Uncommon | $150 – $350 |
| Hidden Geode Chamber | Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby | Rare | $500 – $1,200 |
| Volcanic Vein | Diamond, Alexandrite | Ultra-Rare | $2,000 – $5,000 |
| Mystic Crystal Formation | Rainbow Crystal, Star Gem | Mythic | $5,000 – $15,000 |
Rare Spawn Conditions
- Diamonds only spawn after an earthquake event (random, ~once per 30 in-game days)
- Rainbow Crystals require Mining skill Lv8+ AND being in the cavern during a full moon night
- Star Gems are the rarest item in the game — estimated 0.01% spawn chance under perfect conditions
- Gemstone veins regenerate every 5-7 in-game days
Mining Tip: Your Mining skill level affects both the chance of finding gems AND the quality/size of what you find. At Lv1, you mostly get Quartz. At Lv5+, you start seeing regular Sapphire/Emerald spawns. Max out Mining before hunting for ultra-rare gems!
Section 4: Mushrooms (25+ Items)
Mushrooms spawn in forested areas, particularly after rain. They serve dual purposes: collection/sale AND cooking ingredients for high-level recipes.
Spawn Conditions
- Primary trigger: Rain weather (spawns appear within 2 hours of rain stopping)
- Secondary trigger: Morning dew (smaller spawn chance, fewer mushrooms)
- Locations: Forest edges in Mountain District, Countryside wooded areas, parks in Old Town
- Seasonal variants: Some mushrooms only appear in certain seasons (check in-game calendar)
Mushroom Rarity Table
| Mushroom Name | Rarity | Value | Cooking Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common Brown Cap | Common | $5 | Basic soup ingredient |
| Blue Speckle | Uncommon | $18 | Pasta sauce booster |
| Golden Chanterelle | Uncommon | $35 | Gourmet risotto |
| Phoenix Mushroom | Rare | $85 | Legendary stew (special effects) |

| Ink Cap Black | Very Rare | $250 | Exotic cuisine only |
| Glowing Shroom | Mythic | $800 | Decorative light source + recipe |
Section 5: Paintings (20+ Items)
Paintings are unique among collectibles because you create them yourself using the Painting skill, rather than finding them in the world. However, you can also buy paintings from the Museum shop.
Creating Paintings
- Requires an Easel (buy in Build Mode catalog, $200–$800 depending on quality)
- Each painting session takes 1-4 hours depending on canvas size
- Quality depends on Painting skill level + current emotion (Inspired = best results)
- You choose subject matter: Portrait, Landscape, Still Life, Abstract
Painting Values by Skill Level
| Skill Level | Base Value | Inspired Value | Masterpiece Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lv1-2 | $30–$80 | $45–$120 | 0% |
| Lv3-4 | $100–$250 | $150–$375 | 2% |
| Lv5-6 | $280–$550 | $420–$825 | 8% |
| Lv7-8 | $600–$1,000 | $900–$1,500 | 20% |
| Lv9-10 | $1,100–$2,000 | $1,650–$3,000 | 35% |
Masterpiece paintings are special unique pieces that sell for 3× normal value and can be donated to the Museum for massive reputation bonuses.

- Start at Old Town Museum — Check all 5 dig sites (focus on A+B for quick common finds)
- Walk to Castle Plaza — Ground spawns possible near fountain
- Head to Industrial District — Quick check of warehouse area
- Bus to Countryside — Check farm areas and riverside
- End at home — Sell/donate findings, restock supplies
Weekly Deep Dive Run (~2 hrs game time)
- Day 1 Morning: Full Museum dig (all 5 sites), especially D+E if skilled enough
- Day 1 Afternoon: Mountain hike — Crystal Cavern mining run
- Day 2: Wait for rain, then mushroom hunt in all forest zones
