Section 1: Collectible Types Overview

Paralives features 5 major categories of collectibles with over 111 unique items to find across the town of Melino. Each category has different spawn mechanics, rarity tiers, and uses:

CategoryTotal ItemsRarity TiersPrimary Use
Artefacts30+Common → LegendarySell or donate to Museum
Gemstones20+Common → Ultra-RareSell for high value, craft jewelry
Mushrooms25+Common → MythicCooking ingredients, sell, collect
Paintings20+Skill-based qualitySell, decorate home, donate
Stamps16+Event/Market exclusiveCollection completion, trade

The Big Question: Donate or Sell?

It depends on your goals! Donating to the Museum unlocks permanent perks and discounts. Selling gives immediate cash. Our recommendation: donate one of each unique item first to unlock Museum rewards, then sell duplicates for profit. This strategy maximizes both long-term benefits AND short-term income.

Section 2: Artefacts (30+ Items)

Artefacts are historical items found by digging at specific locations throughout Melino. They represent the town's rich fictional history.

Location Guide by District

🏛️ Old Town — Museum Dig Sites

The richest source of Artefacts. The Melino History Museum has 5 official dig sites on its grounds:

🏭 Industrial District — Ruins & Abandoned Buildings

⛰️ Mountain District — Trail Finds

🌾 Countryside — Farm Discoveries

Section 3: Gemstones (20+ Items)

Gemstones are found primarily through mining in mountain caves and occasionally as rare ground spawns. They have the highest individual sell values of any collectible category.

Section 4: Mushrooms (25+ Items)

Mushrooms spawn in forested areas, particularly after rain. They serve dual purposes: collection/sale AND cooking ingredients for high-level recipes.

Section 8: Optimal Collection Route

For efficient collectible hunting, follow this optimized route through Melino's districts:

Daily Quick Run (~30 min game time)

  1. Start at Old Town Museum — Check all 5 dig sites (focus on A+B for quick common finds)
  2. Walk to Castle Plaza — Ground spawns possible near fountain
  3. Head to Industrial District — Quick check of warehouse area
  4. Bus to Countryside — Check farm areas and riverside
  5. End at home — Sell/donate findings, restock supplies

Weekly Deep Dive Run (~2 hrs game time)

  1. Day 1 Morning: Full Museum dig (all 5 sites), especially D+E if skilled enough
  2. Day 1 Afternoon: Mountain hike — Crystal Cavern mining run
  3. Day 2: Wait for rain, then mushroom hunt in all forest zones
  4. Day 3 (Sunday): Sunday Market — buy missing stamps, sell excess collectibles
  5. Evening each day: Create 1-2 paintings if Inspired

Pro Route Tip: Always carry a shovel when exploring! You never know when you'll stumble upon a hidden dig spot. Keep a separate inventory space for collectibles so you don't accidentally sell a rare find along with junk. And save BEFORE opening any geode or chest — some contain random-rarity loot!

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do rare collectibles spawn?
Rare collectibles have specific conditions: Legendary Artefacts = Museum Dig Sites D&E (requires Archaeology skill Lv3+/Lv6+). Ultra-Rare Gemstones = Deep Crystal Cavern and Volcanic Vein (requires Mining skill Lv5+). Mythic Mushrooms = Post-rain forest areas during specific seasons. Mythic Gemstones = Full moon + max Mining skill. Rare Stamps = Town events and Sunday Market limited editions.
Should I donate or sell my collectibles?
Best strategy: Donate ONE of each unique item type to the Museum first to unlock tier rewards (especially useful ones like +10% sell price at Bronze tier). After that, sell all duplicates. For extremely valuable items ($1,000+), consider keeping one copy for your personal collection display — they look amazing in trophy rooms!
How many collectibles are there in total?
Currently confirmed: 30+ Artefacts, 20+ Gemstones, 25+ Mushrooms, 20+ Paintings (including masterpieces), and 16+ Stamps = approximately 111+ unique items. The developers have hinted at more collectible types coming in future updates, potentially bringing the total to 150+.
Do collectibles respawn?
Yes! Respawn times vary by type: Ground-spawned Artefacts respawn every 2-5 days depending on rarity. Gemstone veins regenerate every 5-7 days. Mushrooms appear after rain (no fixed schedule). Museum dig sites reset weekly. Stamps from events are usually one-time-only (unless the event repeats seasonally). This means you can collect infinitely — there's no "empty world" problem!
What's the most valuable single collectible?
The Star Gem is currently the most valuable collectible at $5,000-$15,000 base value (price varies slightly based on market conditions). It's found only in the Mystic Crystal Formation in the deepest part of the Crystal Cavern, requires Mining skill Lv8+, must be a full moon night, and has approximately a 0.01% spawn chance. Second place goes to Legendary Artefacts like the Royal Scepter ($2,000-$5,000).
